How to control dandruff?

How to control dandruff?
Dandruff is a simple disease. But the difficulties it causes can be enormous. There are ways to reduce dandruff and avoid complications.
Dandruff is a condition in which the cells on the surface of the scalp fall off like dust. Although this type of shedding is a natural occurrence, it becomes difficult when its rate increases. Dandruff is a simple condition but the psychological distress it causes is immense. There are many myths about what dandruff is and how to deal with it.

Dandruff is defined as a less severe form of (seborrheic dermatitis) is the most common cause of dandruff. There are three main reasons for this condition.

1. Presence of mold Malassezia.

2. Individual Susceptibility.

3. Immune deficiency.

Malassezia is a commensal fungus that usually lives on the outer layer of the skin. Most of the time it doesn't cause any other problems. However, sometimes it can cause dandruff and so on.
Sebum, which is released by the sebaceous glands of the scalp, is a favorable factor for the growth of Malassezia. Malassezia is a lipophilic fungus. The result of this reaction is to form fatty acids from cybeme. These fatty acids act on the scalp and cause inflammation. It accelerates the growth of skin cells and exfoliates them as white powdery flakes. This is what we see as stars.

Dandruff and Illusions

1. Applying oil will remove dandruff.

Using too much oil can sometimes have the opposite effect. Oily conditions favor the growth of the mold Malassezia. So don't use too much oil. If applied, wash off with shampoo.

2. Dandruff is a completely curable disease.

Dandruff also has genetic causes. Dandruff may go away with treatment, but there is always a chance that it will come back. By inhibiting the growth of the mold, the inflammation in the skin is reduced and the disease appears to have subsided. However, it is not possible to completely remove Malassezia mold from the skin.

3. Dandruff is spread by sharing combs and hair.

The mold that causes dandruff is in our own body. Molds that can be transmitted from others are from the genera Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, and Oncoverygoo (Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, and microsporum). Due to these, a disease called ringworm (tinea) can occur. To prevent this, it is said not to share combs and torts.

Method of cleaning the comb;-
First you need to remove the hair from your comb. Then take a little hot water in a bowl. A small amount of shampoo can be added to this. Then mix. Soak the comb in this water for 15 to 20 minutes. Scrub the cheat thoroughly with an old household toothbrush and rinse. Then wash the comb with some good water and use it again. At least once a week you should brush your comb like this.

4. Drink lots of water.

Dandruff is caused by dehydration. Drinking enough water and avoiding dehydration is essential for health. But dehydration is not related to dandruff. Drinking water alone without seeking remedies for dandruff will not change the condition of the disease.

5. Apply lemon juice and aloevera on the head to get rid of dandruff.

Applying lemon juice directly and massaging it may seem to reduce the dandruff temporarily, but it is not a cure. There will be no change in the disease state. Strong lemon juice can damage the skin and cause irritant contact dermatitis. Aloe vera gel is also not a cure-all for the condition, except that it may help reduce the itching for a while and change the scales.

6. All hair is shaved and washed. Still the dandruff does not go away.

Dandruff is a scalp condition. Cutting or shaving the hair does not cure the disease. The disease may appear to have subsided when the young children's hair is trimmed or shaved during the summer holidays. It may also be attributed to the natural decrease in morbidity due to climate change in summer.

7. Essential oils remove dandruff.

Tea tree oil, lavender oil, and rosemary oil are all touted for their anti-dandruff properties. Although there are studies showing that they are effective against fungal infections, it has not been proven that they can get rid of dandruff. It can also cause burns if used undiluted with other oils in a strong state.

8. Wearing a helmet will increase dandruff.

Dandruff is subject to seasonal changes. Studies have shown that dandruff is more common in cold, dry winter weather. Studies also show that hot, humid summers reduce the incidence of the disease. So there is no evidence that wearing a helmet increases dandruff due to heat and humidity. Helmets are essential for road safety. Don't skip the helmet just because you are a star.

Dandruff is a long-term (sometimes lifelong) condition. Intermittent or continuous treatment may be required. The first step is to know and understand the disease.
Avoid self-medication and seek the help of a doctor for any medical condition. Treat dandruff in the same way.

Antifungal shampoos:- For fungal dandruff, shampoos are the first step. They can reduce the growth and inflammation of Malassezia. Shampoo can be used twice or more times a week. Apply it on the scalp and wash off after ten minutes. Continued use reduces dandruff and prevents excess returns. Shampooing at least once a month is beneficial as dandruff may return when shampooing is stopped. A shampoo containing ketoconazole, zinc perthion, and selenium sulfide is effective.

Steroid lotions:- In severe cases of the disease, watery rash and red spots may appear. Steroid lotions may be necessary in such cases. This condition is a severe form of seborrheic dermatitis. Steroid lotions can give good results if used in the right way and dosage.

Exfoliant Lotion:- Lotions containing salicylic acid are helpful in removing dandruff flakes and controlling sebum levels. Removes excess flakes and reduces inflammation on the scalp.

Reduce stress:- Stress has been found to increase or worsen dandruff. Behind it are immune-related changes.

Balanced diet:- Studies show mixed results on whether diet affects dandruff. Some studies suggest that dandruff is not related to diet. Some studies show that foods high in antioxidants can reduce dandruff
